A Long Branch local who answers every call himself.

Anthony Howard grew up in Long Branch. Before pest control, he spent years serving his community — including distributing thousands of meals to the homeless and families in need. The mayor of Long Branch recognized him as a hometown hero for that work.

In 2019, Anthony launched Fight the Bite with a specific focus: mosquito and tick control, done right. Not a general pest operation trying to be everything to everyone — a specialist that gives Monmouth County families their backyards back.

Seven years and countless treated yards later, every call still rings to Anthony's phone. No call centers, no sub-contracted techs, no franchise manual. Just a local guy who took his commitment to serving his neighbors and turned it into a business.

Single mosquito treatments start at $75 for most Monmouth County yards. A full season of mosquito protection (roughly 6 monthly treatments, April through October) runs about $400 for typical residential properties. Tick control runs $125–$350 depending on property size. About 30 to 60 minutes — we just wait for the product to dry. Our treatments are specifically chosen to be safe around families and pets once dry. No fumigating your family out of the house.
Not the way we apply it. We do targeted barrier treatment to the undersides of shrubs and tree line edges where adult mosquitoes rest — not open flowers where pollinators feed. Proper application, proper timing, real respect for the beneficial insects in your yard.
Most Monmouth County calls get same-day or next-day service. If mosquitoes are ruining a weekend event or you're about to host, call as early as possible — we prioritize pre-event treatments whenever we can.
A single treatment gives you roughly 21–30 days of meaningful reduction. For full-season protection, monthly treatments April through October is the right cadence. By month three most yards are dramatically lower-mosquito than surrounding untreated properties.
